Mladen Palac (born 18 February 1971, Donji Mamići, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Croatian chess Grandmaster (1993) and FIDE Trainer (2005).

He won the Croatian Chess Championship in 2001[1] and 2004.[2] In 1998 he won the Biel chess tournament.[3] In 2002, tied for 1st–5th with Dražen Sermek, Zdenko Kozul, Vladimir Burmakin and Ognjen Cvitan in the Casino HIT NG Open in Nova Gorica.[4] He took 3rd place in the European Blitz Championship of 2006.[5]

Palac played for Croatia in the Chess Olympiads of 1996, 2006, 2008 and 2010.[6] On the March 2011 FIDE list his Elo rating is 2586.
